Jin Teases BTS Reunion on Jimmy Fallon: “It Was Comfortable Alone, But I Should Serve the Members Now”

Appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on May 22 (KST), BTS Jin promoted his newly released second mini-album Jin’s Note: ECHO and performed the emotional title track “Don’t Say You Love Me.”

A Candid Take on BTS’s Reunion
While fans around the world cheered his stunning vocals and comedic banter with Fallon, it was his candid remarks about BTS’s reunion that struck the deepest chord.
“It was honestly really comfortable doing activities alone,” Jin said with a light laugh, before following up with sincerity, “But the other members worked so hard, I’ll have to serve them well when they return. They’re like saviors in my life, I need to treat them with utmost care.”

Jin’s Humor Shines on Late-Night TV
Fallon emphasized the significance of the upcoming month for the BTS fandom, noting, “June is a big month for BTS fans. All seven members will have completed their military service and finally reunite. The world has been waiting for this.” The crowd erupted in applause, echoing the excitement of fans across the globe.

The interview also showcased Jin’s humorous side. Fallon brought up his popular variety content “Run Jin,” even mentioning the viral cameo by Tom Cruise. When asked if he’d ever considered hosting his own show, Jin responded with a grin, “Should I try?” before mock-hosting Fallon’s segment by reading questions from cue cards, to the audience’s delight.
Lighting Up New York, Reaching Out to Fans
Beyond TV appearances, Jin continues to shine globally. On May 21, he participated in a lighting ceremony at the Empire State Building to celebrate the release of ECHO.

As part of his fan engagement, Jin is hosting a special event in New York titled Hi-Seokjin on May 23, featuring close interaction with fans through meet-and-greets and high-touch sessions. His world tour of fan concerts will begin on June 28 in Korea, followed by stops in Tokyo, Los Angeles, London, Amsterdam, and five other cities.
Jin playfully teased the fan events during Fallon’s show, saying, “You can expect my not-so-bad singing skills, but more than that, I think you’ll enjoy seeing my face up close.”
BTS Members Near Discharge, Full Reunion in Sight
Meanwhile, BTS member J-Hope, who completed his military service in October 2024, is already back in action, making history as the first K-pop soloist to perform at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles. His solo tour and recent Billboard Magazine cover have further heightened expectations for BTS’s full-group return.

With RM and V scheduled to be discharged on June 10, Jimin and Jungkook on June 11, and SUGA by June 21, the group’s military hiatus is coming to an end. As the world eagerly awaits their reunion, Jin’s recent comments offer a heartfelt preview of the brotherhood and dedication that continue to define BTS.
